Chapter 9: The Final Battle
The Black Eagle headquarters was a fortress of dark stone and iron gates, surrounded by a moat of black water. Ling Feng stood at the head of the alliance, his heart pounding with anticipation. The Frostmoon Blade glowed in his hand, its light cutting through the darkness.
“This is it,” Xiao Han said, his voice low. “We take them down, or Yunzhou falls.”
Ling Feng nodded. “For Ruyan. For Yunzhou.”
The battle began with a deafening roar as the alliance charged the fortress. The Black Eagle assassins fought fiercely, but the combined strength of the martial arts sects was overwhelming. Ling Feng led the charge, his blade cutting through the enemy like a storm.
As they fought their way to the inner courtyard, the Black Eagle leader emerged, his eyes filled with rage. “You think you can stop me?” he sneered. “I am the master of the Dragon Vein!”
Ling Feng stepped forward, his voice cold and steady. “Your reign ends here.”
The duel was fierce, the Frostmoon Blade clashing against the leader’s dark sword. The leader’s movements were swift and deadly, but Ling Feng’s training and the power of the blade gave him the edge. With a final, powerful strike, he pierced the leader’s chest, the Frostmoon Blade glowing with an icy light.
The leader fell to his knees, his eyes wide with shock. “You… you cannot win…” he gasped before collapsing.
Ling Feng stood over him, his breath ragged. “It’s over,” he said, his voice filled with both relief and sorrow.
