Chapter 10: The Blade’s Return
The sun rose over Yunzhou, its golden light bathing the land in warmth. Ling Feng stood before the ruins of his family home, the Frostmoon Blade in his hand. The battle was over, but the scars remained.
Xiao Han approached him, his expression solemn. “What will you do now?”
Ling Feng looked at the blade, its light dimming as if it knew its purpose had been fulfilled. “I’ve spent so long seeking revenge, but now… I want to protect. To make sure no one else suffers as I have.”
He knelt and placed the Frostmoon Blade in the ground, its hilt sticking out like a monument. “This blade was never meant for me to wield forever. It’s time for it to rest.”
Xiao Han nodded. “And you? Will you rest?”
Ling Feng smiled faintly. “No. There’s still work to be done. Yunzhou needs protectors, and I intend to be one of them.”
With Xiao Han by his side, Ling Feng set out on a new path, his heart free from the weight of vengeance. The Frostmoon Blade remained behind, a symbol of the past and a promise for the future.
